whoooo! where am I ... can't be La Bocana

Throw a few dried seeds out in the yard and you never know what will decide to grow.  Emily did just that over two years ago and the Papaya has thrived.

Blast from the Past: 1968!

We are very privileged to get some scans of photos taken in 1968-69 during the building of the Lucynski house (now the Lydon house). Duncan Smith, stepson of Art Lucynski, sent these photos in.

I'm amazed at how little has changed.    Enjoy a trip back in time!!

Thank you Duncan!!

The view from above

It was such a beautiful day, we could not resist hiking up into the hills behind our houses. It was not an easy hike but we were rewarded with beautiful views in all directions!

Click on the photos to make them a bit bigger.

Beautiful houses and the sleeping lady.
Looking east -that's our dirt road through the valley.
The green is artichoke fields.
View to the cement plant and beyond.

Editor's Note: A Kennedy took these photos.

The north side.  Note the very low tide at rock beach.

Happy New Year!

In addition to amazingly sunny days and incredibly starry nights, we enjoyed great company!
